Opting Out

5 Steps to Online Opt Out

Students with comparable coverage may opt out of the extended health and dental plan. Students do not need comparable coverage to opt out of the dental plan. Students may choose to opt out of the health plan, the dental plan, or both plans. The opt-out deadline is September 30th each year. To opt out of the extended health and/or dental plan, visit studentbenefits.ca and select Opt Out. You will then need to complete the online opt-out form and upload proof of medical insurance. Examples of sufficient proof of coverage are either an image of your insurance card (scanned or taken with a camera or smartphone) or a letter from your insurance company verifying your coverage.

For more information, please visit studentbenefits.ca or contact our Health & Dental Plan Administrator.
