
Grad Awards
At the end of each academic year, we come together as a university community to recognize the contributions and achievements of our graduating students during the annual Last Lecture. Each year, the MASU presents awards to five outstanding graduating students.

The ‘Gold A’ Award
Four (4) ‘Golden A’ Lapel Pins are awarded at the Last Lecture by the MASU each year to graduating students who have demonstrated outstanding contribution to the university community.
The ‘Golden A’ Award Evaluation Criteria: Throughout the selection process, all nominees for this award shall be evaluated using the following criteria:
4.2.1 Commitment: A demonstrated commitment to enhancing the university
experience;
4.2.2 Leadership: Relevant leadership positions and involvement in university
initiatives;
4.2.3 Going Above and Beyond: Committing to responsibilities beyond those of their
assigned roles or task, and;
4.2.4 The evaluation of this award is not dependent on grades.

The Gil Latter Award
The Gil Latter Memorial Award is a plaque presented at the Last Lecture by the MASU each year to a graduating student in any year who has volunteered their time and demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the Sackville community.
The Gil Latter Award Evaluation Criteria: Throughout the selection process, all nominees for this award shall be evaluated using the following criteria:
4.1.1 Service: A commitment to engaging and serving the Sackville community by way
of volunteering;
4.1.2 Consistency: A consistent track record of involvement with the Sackville
community, and;
4.1.3 The evaluation of this award is not dependent on grades.
