THE CLUBS & SOCIETIES (C&S) FUND

The Clubs & Societies Fund (C&S Fund) provides MASU-affiliated clubs with funding to make events and projects possible! Groups that fulfill the requirements can apply for funding in one of four (4) rounds of applications. The money is then transferred directly into your Club/Society’s MASU Account.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  1. Your Club/Society has to be formally affiliated with the MASU in good standing.

  2. You must complete Club/Society Leader Training.

  3. Your application must be complete and must be signed by one (1) of your Club/Society’s listed Signing Officers. If you submit an incomplete application, you will be emailed with instructions.

Failure to meet these requirements will result in your application not being considered for funding. Please ensure that you satisfy the requirements before submitting.

WHAT CAN/Can’t THE C&S FUND PAY FOR?

The C&S Fund can:

  • Help cover costs for running an event

  • Help cover costs for a project or initiative

The C&S Fund cannot:

  • Pay for purchases of alcohol, cannabis, or any Controlled Substance

  • Support a fundraiser for your Club/Society or an external cause

  • Be used to supplement awards from the Academic Enrichment Fund

Applying for the Clubs & Societies Fund

Step 1: Fill out the Application Form. The form can be filled out digitally or on paper.

Step 2: Submit the application form:

Online: Use this link to upload it as a PDF by the upcoming deadline date at 11:45 PM Atlantic time.

In-Person: By printing it out and handing it in at the front desk of the MASU Office (first floor of Student Centre) by the upcoming deadline date at 4:30 PM Atlantic time.

Step 3: Check your emails for any requests for additional information and respond as required!
